More Reasons to be Cheerful

How this Site is FundedMore reasons to be cheerful as the nights draw and we slowly freeze to death…

Your Saving Angels gave you some really good reasons to be cheerful this winter, but just in case you didn’t believe us the first time round, here are some more great reasons to keep a smile on your face.

Winter Stews

Tender beef, winter vegetables and fluffy dumplings. Heartwarming and tasty, it’s the best comfort food ever.

Nights In

Even though the nights are drawing in, it doesn’t have to be all sad. Grab a blanket, an awesome movie and some yummy food and snug up to your loved one.

Winter Knits

Although it is painful to pack away your maxi dresses and summer tops, the silver lining is chunky knits. There is something very satisfying about layering up in cosy jumpers and scarves.

Hot Drinks

Hot chocolate with peppermint, hazelnut or vanilla, mocha’s, mulled wine, spiced teas and hot ribena! The Angels are loving the Nutella hot chocolate, a simple but awesome twist on the traditional chocolate drink. Just add a couple of spoonfuls of Nutella to warm milk and voila!

Dogs in Jumpers

Dogs need to keep warm too! And they look so ridiculously cute doing so!

Better TV

The TV bigwigs understand that we, as a nation, have nothing better to do in the winter, since it is too cold to be spending too much time out of the heated comforts of home, so the TV is always way better in the winter months.

Log Fires

Oh, how snug! Whether you have a log fire at home, or you gather around the burner in the local pub, there is nothing better than warm glow of the crackling fire.

Snow Days

Whenever it snows in the UK, the entire country shuts down. However, the upside is snow days, especially if there is a pub in walking distance.

Frosty Walks

Walking along the beach or through the countryside in the summer is beautiful, however a long walk in the colder months is just as nice for different reasons. You get to layer up, throw on some wellies and get the dogs muddy. The best bit is warming up in the pub afterwards.

Winter Coats

We aren’t talking about your warm jacket, we are talking about not shaving. For the ladies its the legs and for the men it’s all about facial hair, especially as Movember is in full swing. So put away your razors and celebrate the fuzz!

Embrace winter and all the good and bad that comes with it. We only have about five months until the spring comes around.

So, chin up and appreciate all the awesome things winter gives us, they may be few and far between, but they are still there.

And remember:
